Claud Lovat Fraser (1890-1921) was a
British illustrator and designer for the theatre. The drawings reproduced
on these cards come from the sketchbooks he kept during a 1914 trip
to Italy. His collection of works at Bryn Mawr College is one of
the finest and most extensive in the world. Longing to return to
Italy? These watercolor renderings will spark your memories of cypress-lined
village pathways, city walls, romantic bridges, and ancient monuments.
